Everybody and their mother told me that Bennett's restaurant (24-26 Spring Street) was ancient history - not so! Apparently they are reopening on Nov 6th with redesigns both in the food and on the floor. Interesting...

They were just back and forth between renovating the current space or moving to a new location, they were never closing. They thought it was going to cost to much to renovate so they were going to move to the Hampton Inn on Mill River St, but had issues with the liquor license so they decided to renovate and stay put.
I think it's funny that according to Rich Lee's story they are offering a "Five Napkin Hamburger," which I'm sure won't be a rip-off of the well known Five Napkin Burger in Hell's Kitchen ;-)
The issue was that they would not be allowed live music (stupid). They did not know and I was hoping they would reopen after the Mill River thing Failed.
I love writing children's poems, but I'm no good at the drawings. I tried to find a partner to create images with me, but they wanted more a jillion dollars. Come join me in creating something amazing! If you like the poems, send me a picture, and we'll fill in those blank spaces with color.
