It you are staying local this holiday weekend, there are two events you might want to consider.
(1) The Craft & Corn Maze Festival will be held - free of charge - at Plasko's Farm, 670 Daniels Farm Rd. in Trumbull from Sat the 5th (10-4) to Sun the 6th (11-5). For more information, call 203-261-2414. Bring a date - if you don't like him, lose him mid-maze.
(2) Odyssey '09 is a Greek Festival held at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Rd. in Orange from Fri to Mon (12-10pm Fri-Sun and 12-8pm Mon). Free parking, free admission. Call 203-795-1347 for more info. Couldn't tell you how I feel about St. Barbara but I have always been a close personal friend of baklava.
