Stamford Notes, Your Local Ultra Blog

The bouncer intimidizing outside the former Thirsty Turtle at Alive@5 told me that 84 Park, the new “ultra lounge,” will open on Wednesday, July 1st. The website says “be seen in the next generation of ultra lounge.” It’s totally embarrassing – I didn’t even know the first generation was expecting. What’s even more embarrassing is that I have no idea what differentiates a lounge from an ultra lounge. My best guesses so far are hair height or animal prints per square foot, but I can’t be sure. My hair pump is in the shop, so I imagine I’ll be sitting out opening night, but I’d love to hear reviews.

G/R/A/N/D might be considered a lounge at times. Twenty, in the first 3 months of opening was and may have been even an ultra lounge, however that does not exist in that way anymore.
If it is true, it will be nice. they have done a lot of work!

Twenty previously was the Greek downtown diner named Park Place Cafe. It became Twenty when they hired my friend to redo it and create something different. The Greeks took his investment, his time and then converted it n=back to a shitty Greek diner with DJs. That is Twenty.

Twenty's an attractive place that can be fun with friends, but the dance floor is far too "grabby"
